Talk about a Stoke of Beauty Luck!
I went to pick up a few beauty basics this morning at Harmon Discount. (Click Here for a Harmon in your area). Now I will be honest I'm never NOT looking for makeup... If there is a makeup section in any store I feel obligated to browse it!
As I was perusing the new product displays section I spotted some Wet n Wild cosmetics I hadn't seen before. I had to do a double actually because it has been quite a while since I had seen ANY new 8 pan palettes from the bargain brand!
There were 2 palette choices - Going In The Wild & Nude Awakening, and for $4.49 I got them both.
I was so excited I couldn't wait to get home and get some swatches going for you guys!
So let's start with taking a basic look & then I'll give you some of my first impressions on my novel purchases!

General 1st Impressions
The shadows are classic Wet n Wild quality.
Velvety smooth, uber pigmented & really easy to blend!
They are a bit powdery so make sure to tap off excess if applying with a brush.
The colors for the browbone are very light & less pigmented than the others... but then again those are meant as highlighters.

Going In The Wild 1st Impressions
I found that in the Going In The Wild palette I liked only a few colors. I wasn't a big fan of the left column of shadows. They just didn't pack much of a punch.
I had high hopes for the purple but was disappointed when I realized it was more of a washed out hue than the bright lilac I was had wished for.
I was however pleasantly surprise with the pastel green! I think it will look uh-maze-iiing on the lower lash line to add a pop of bright color.

Nude Awakenings 1st Impressions
Of the two palettes I preferred this one the most as I fell in love with every color I swatched! The pigmentation is simply amazing & with the neutral colors you could go day to night in a few sweeps!
But here is my favorite part....
This palette had a few shades that were very very (very) similar to colors in the UD's Naked & Naked 2 Palettes.
Perfect if you are really craving the Urban Decay palettes but just cannot dish out $50 for each.... or you just would rather score a bargain!
